Atholl Heights Primary School

About Us:

“Founded in 1977 by Mr Colin Horne, Atholl Heights had a total of 96 students and 6 staff members. In October 1985, Mr Horne took over the leadership role, and by the end of that year, 355 students and 18 staff graced our corridors and classrooms.

Mrs Diana Warwick became principal in 1992, and with her the motto of ‘Simply the Best’ was born. In the following years, two computer labs, an AV room, an aftercare, a music room, a staff room, kitchen and the much loved Zulu Hut were built.

In 2005, our dedicated sports department was introduced, and we invested in specialists to further improve the growth of our learners. Mr Lloyd Wing took up mantle of principal in 2016, and has played a major role in the modernization of the school.

In 2017, we saw additional improvements with the creation of an AstroTurf to push sports forward, and an IT department to help us use technology to teach and boost productivity. Fast forward to 2020, we have 890 happy students and 89 staff.”
